It can at times be challenging to find a good cycling sock that will also keep your feet warm during cold, wet rides. While searching for the perfect sock, I discovered Pearly’s Possum cycling socks.
A little back story about this company:
Pearly’s Possum Socks came to be when the owners, Margo & Duke went to New Zealand to mountain bike across the south island. While they loved the trip, the weather was cold and rainy most days. After suffering through days of cold, wet feet they found a pair of hiking socks that they loved! When they returned back to the US, they started the process of creating the perfect sock for cold weather cycling. They have done an amazing job and created a fantastic sock!
As I was talking to one of the owners about these socks, he told me that not only are these great for cycling, but also for keeping your feet cozy around the house. I usually wear a different style of socks around the house but put these to the test. Guess what? The Pearly’s Possum socks keep my feet a lot warmer than the other popular style that I was wearing without extra bulk.
Not only do these keep you feet cozy while indoors but they are amazing out on the trails. These little gems are 45% fine merino wool and 40% possum fur. This combination makes them incredibly soft and warm. They are thicker than the average cycling socks, but not so much that you aren’t able to get your shoes on with them. Our cycling shoes fit a little more snug but not uncomfortable.
Pearly’s Possum Socks are available in three sizes (small, medium, & large) and are priced at $38.00. If you are in the market for an awesome pair of cycling socks for cold weather riding, then these socks will not disappoint!
